About us
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, which implements the state policy of the President of Turkmenistan in the field of agriculture and environmental protection, is a body engaged in the development of agriculture in accordance with the realities of the present, as well as food security and environmental protection, land relations and hydrometeorology. The Ministry coordinates the activities of ministries, subordinate governing bodies, all institutions-enterprises regardless of the type of ownership in the successful implementation of programs aimed at the development of agriculture, environmental protection, rational use of natural and land resources, hydrometeorology and food security, studies and widely uses international practice, modern technology. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, which implements the state policy of the President of Turkmenistan in the field of agriculture and environmental protection, is a body engaged in the development of agriculture in accordance with the realities of the present, as well as food security and environmental protection, land relations and hydrometeorology.

President of Turkmenistan holds a working meeting on seasonal agri-works
Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has conducted a digital working meeting to discuss the grain harvest campaign’s implementation progress. Among those taking part in the meeting were the Cabinet Deputy Chairman in charge of the agricultural sector, Dashoguz velayat khyakim and etrap khyakims of the northern region.

President of Turkmenistan convenes a working meeting on seasonal agri-works
Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via videoconferencing with the participation of the Cabinet Deputy Chairman in charge of the agricultural sector, and velayat khyakims. Opening the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan gave the floor to Vice-Premier E. Orazgeldiev, who announced good news that domestic silk breeders had successfully met their cocoon production targets, before presenting his report. As noted, as a result of the ongoing comprehensive measures initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, the sector boasts everything necessary for developing sericulture, our ancestors’ valuable legacy, as well as for stepping up silkworm cocoon production.
